The short layer is pattern of medium-scale flowers, vines and dots in turquoise and sky blue against a field of unmellow yellow. The pallu is stunning--a bold design that reminds me of a kaleidoscope, in the same color set but adding blush stripes as a lovely contrast.
The long layer is almost an ikat pattern, with tightly-packed, jagged geometrics in desert sand against a tumbleweed background. There is an ombre effect on this layer, most pronounced on the bottom border, where the color shifts to orchid in places.
As far as damage, it looks like the fabric was creased a little on the short layer when they printed the pattern, so there are places that look like thread pulls but are really just minor misprints. There is a minor thread pull on one of the borders, and a place that looks like a single stitch--maybe a repair at the factory?
