I put this one off for two weeks because I didn't even know where to start, y'all.
I mean, it's gorgeous. I guess that's as good a place as any.
The main part of the short layer is almond with dots forming a pattern of wavy lines which arc toward the pallu. The pallu arcs in the opposite direction from the wavy lines, meaning that they arc into each other. The pallu is bands of orchid, with steel and sky blue alternating to make squares.
The long layer is a stunning timberwolf tweed, with bold salmon leaves in the shape of boteh. The small pallu and the side and bottom borders are a fish-scale pattern in neon carrot on the salmon with some lime-green ribbon accent.
On the short layer, there is a large ink miss in the middle of the bottom border, as well as at the base of the pallu. No obvious damage to long layer.
This skirt is approximately 60"x 34", plus ties. Darn Good Yarn skirts have 3 buttonholes in the waistband.
