If you have been paying attention, you know that I am a sucker for these small-scale, medium-density patterns in various sorts of spring colors and this one does not disappoint. The field of turquoise is covered with flowers and vines and leaves in scarlet and yellow and spring green and a medium purple. Beautiful. This layer has that firm-but-silky percale feel to it, and the fabric has an iridescence that is hard to capture in the photos.
The long layer is somewhat sheer, and in really pretty tans and fall spice colors. The design looks like deconstructed coats of arms and abstract curvy shapes overlaid on darker wavy pinstripes--almost like soundwaves. It's a really interesting pattern, and gets more interesting the longer you stare at it.
Minor ink bleeding on the short layer. No damage noted on the long layer.
This skirt is approximately 62"x36", plus ties. Wevez skirts have 2 buttonholes in the waistband.
