This is one of those skirts where there are two halves which are the same colorway, but very different patterns. Such is the case with the short layer, which is black--black!--with red and silver and red-violet details. Part of the skirt is a simple stripe pattern while the other features a snowflake pattern, arranged in a regular geometric shape. Buttery soft and very pretty.
The long layer is very elegant--almond with delicate florals in raw sienna, with a bold pallu in coppers and sepias. There are amla everywhere. This one is a real show-stopper.
The short layer has a patch of pin holes and a small tear on the base of the pallu near where it joins the rest of the skirt, one horizontal thread pull in the same area. No other damage is noted. The long layer has some minor pilling, but remarkably little in the way of other flaws.
This skirt is approximately 59"x 30", plus ties. Darn Good Yarn skirts have 3 buttonholes in the waistband.
