The short layer is salmon, with a light pattern of circles and lines which serve to give the fabric a sense of texture. The pallus provide a gorgeous contrast, with floral motifs on gold and salmon backgrounds. The gold carries through to the rather petite bottom border.
The long layer is maroon with a tight repeating pattern of burnt orange branches.
Short layer could possibly be called a "zen" skirt - a broad expanse of a solid color, with enough of a pattern to keep it from being boring. There is minor wear along left border, an ink miss spot near base - all very minor and does not detract. The long layer is very sheer with only one minor thread pull noted.
This skirt is approximately 72"x30", plus ties. Darn Good Yarn skirts have 3 buttonholes in the waistband.
