The short layer features small and medium scale floral pattern, in shades of lavender, white and soft, pale yellows on a bed of the palest pastel sky blue. The metallic ribbon pallu lends a bit of stiffness to an otherwise very silky/flowing fabric.
The long layer is a striking red-orange, with a delicate tone-on-tone swirl pattern. The pallu contrasts, in almond with black linework and flowers. Long layer has a delightful hand, the fabric very soft and flowing.
On the short layer, there are 3 spots of what may be blood (also possibly ink) on the right side of the skirt and on that right side tie, there is a horizontal thread pull at the top of the pallu, and an oily looking small stain near the left corner of the skirt. The long layer is marred by a large round stain and by a general level of dinginess to the pallu. There are also areas where seams were removed that have left lines of darker colored holes on the pallu. The damage is well in excess of what we expect, and the skirt has been priced accordingly.
**Note** Because of the abnormal amount of damage, this is one of our Screwed-up Skirts. It has been priced accordingly, and is not eligible for returns.
This skirt is approximately 58"x33", plus ties. Darn Good Yarn skirts have 3 buttonholes in the waistband.
